It is not products, services or ideas that are sold, these are only forms. Experiences are sold, that is the bottom of the matter. There may be many factors that condition the act of buying or acquiring something, but the process will always end in an experience. It is nothing new, but it is always forgotten. As systems replace human tasks, the salesperson is becoming a piece of engineering, one more element of the organizational structure trying to communicate with the market. This carries risks, because it tends to forget that sales are a matter of people, not systems or "bots". Organizations themselves are absolutely impersonal (couldn't be otherwise), but individuals don't have to be, much less if they're trying to win over a customer and make a sale. Human beings respond to emotions, identify and act on them, and this is the furthest thing from an impersonal fact.

All emotions build experiences, experiences that remain in the memory for a long time. The product or service that is offered will cover some need that the client has, but what everyone will remember will be the experience associated with the process.
